Our Programs
HEARTChild Development Resources’ HEART Program
Offers both adult therapeutic counseling and play therapy for children who have not yet entered kindergarten. Designed to support parents who may be struggling with depression, anxiety, or other issues, the HEART program simultaneously provides treatment to address behavioral issues for children.
Who
HEART is therapy for young children and their parents/caregivers.
What
HEART provides:
- Counseling for adults in the family to relieve stress, anxiety, or depression.
- Play therapy for the child who may have experienced emotional distress and is showing concerning behavior.
- Joint therapy for parents and child to support positive interactions and connected relationships.
How
- We can help families experiencing:
- Parental depression (being weepy, forgetful, exhausted).
- Parental anxiety (excessive worrying, fearful thoughts).
- Child behaviorial issues (aggression, excessive crying, withdrawal, developmental regression, etc.).
- Difficulty with self-regulation or difficulty in parent-child interactions.
- Other behaviors or expressed feelings that concern you
